Kotobukiya reveal art of the Mane Six My Little Pony Bishoujo series

It was a year ago when Kotobukiya announced that they had joined with Hasbro to release bishoujo figures of the original Mane Six ponies from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.

Now Kotobukiya took to Twitter and Facebook to reveal artist Shunya Yamashita‘s illustration of the entire Mane Six together, which includes the first look at Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash.

Reimagined as moe anime girls, the anime version of Applejack is seen wearing her brown Stetson hat, a chequered shirt and denim shorts. Her blonde hair is tied back in a ponytail while her cutie mark of three apples can also be glimpsed on her boots.

The anime version of Rarity is wearing a white dress and purple skirt which features her cutie mark of three diamonds. This is also represented by her hairpin made up of three diamonds.

The anime version of Rainbow Dash is wearing a t-shirt and shorts. Her t-shirt features her cutie mark, a cloud and three-coloured lightning bolt. Being one of the fastest in Ponyville, she also has goggles upon her rainbow hair. Plus there are wings on her blue boots.

While a release date for Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash was not given, it is believed that they will be available in 2020.

Kotobukiya also unveiled the painted prototype for the Twilight Sparkle bishoujo figure, which can be pre-ordered from 14 February 2019.

The Pinkie Pie bishoujo figure is still available to pre-order from KotoEU for €84.95 or KotoUS for $99.99, with shipping expected in late May 2019.
