Nike to release PG 2.5 x PlayStation Colorway

Back in February, PlayStation collaborated with Nike Basketball and NBA All-Star Paul George to release the PG2 x PlayStation sneakers, inspired by the PlayStation 4’s DualShock 4 and its iconic symbols. They were a success and sold out. So now PlayStation has announced that Paul George has returned with the new PG 2.5 x PlayStation Colorway.

“I wanted to take the design old school, back to my earliest days of gaming,” said Paul George on the look of the new Colorway sneakers, which are inspired by the original grey PlayStation console. “Working with Nike and PlayStation, we focused on bringing that original PlayStation inspiration to life in this new design.”

The PG logo and original four-colour PlayStation logo are on the tongues of the shoes and light up, pulsating blue. The iconic PlayStation symbols adorned upon each shoe are also embossed in patent leather.

“This collaboration is very special and personal to me,” added George. “I’ve been a PlayStation fan ever since I was kid, so I’m excited about continuing to partner with a brand that I grew up loving.”

The PG 2.5 x PlayStation Colorway is expected to cost $110 (around £85 / €96) and will be released worldwide by Nike on 1 December 2018.
